Three night Christmas Break 2009

Welcome to the magic of a Country House Christmas. Beautiful bedrooms, exquisite food and frosted parkland walks with the moorland ponies quietly grazing - not to be missed.

Christmas Eve
A warm welcome awaits guests old and new .Join us early evening for a welcome drinks reception before a wonderful candlelit Four Course West Country Dinner. After dinner some relaxing jazz music from Becky Brine and an opportunity for a flutter on the fun casino table. Midnight services available locally.

Christmas Day
A hearty Devon breakfast followed by perhaps a short walk or more leisurely pursuits as you prepare for the centrepiece of the day’s celebrations..... A magnificent Six Course Christmas Luncheon with, of course, the obligatory visit from Santa and a present for everyone. The afternoon is an opportunity to further unwind and relax but with a not too taxing Xmas Quiz/Treasure Hunt. Dinner is a superb Dressed Buffet – a sumptuous array of hot and cold dishes.

Boxing Day
Brunch is served from 10am until 12 noon. Then a day for you to spend as you please... we are pleased to offer the following suggestions:

  • A late morning walk across the moor with the Dartmoor Ranger (departs Two Bridges at 11am)
  • Martin, the Dartmoor Hawker, will be giving a demonstration of his magnificent birds in the Two Bridges’ grounds (3:00pm start)
  • Perhaps a round of golf (reduced green fees arranged) at Tavistock G.C. or a visit to the historic City of Plymouth

Return in plenty of time for the Festive Murder Mystery Dinner – ideal for all those budding Sherlocks. Watch and listen during dinner as the plot unfolds with clues aplenty to gather before finally all is revealed with the post mortem over coffee.
