Celebrate
Christmas 2011 at the Home of the Pudding Club
Friday 23rd
December
Welcome to Christmas at Three Ways House. Arrive in time to settle
into your room before joining us by the log fires in the lounges
and bar for the start of your Christmas holiday. We will serve toasted
crumpets and handmade preserves with your afternoon tea. For Dinner
tonight Chef and his team will be using the best local ingredients
to create a Cotswold menu featuring Severn and Wye Smoked Salmon,
Foxcote Estate Pheasant, Gloucester Old Spot Pork and award winning
local cheeses. We have a selection of English wines to tempt you
with too.
Christmas
Eve
Take the opportunity for some last minute shopping in Broadway,
visit the Panto at the tiny theatre in Chipping Norton or pop on
your walking boots and enjoy the lovely countryside. We will provide
maps, fill your flasks and advise on which routes to take. Be back
in time for tea and homemade cupcakes by the fire. Before dinner
tonight we will gather around the piano for Champagne and Canapes
and enjoy Christmas Carols sung by local choristers. Dinner in the
Restaurant will be accompanied by a pianist playing festive tunes.
Christmas
Day At Three Ways House
Christmas Day begins with a delicious Continental buffet breakfast
- delicious pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, ham, cheese and local
juice, leave plenty of room for Lunch! This morning you may like
to attend a service at one of the nearby churches. Another Three
Ways House tradition will continue when Santa arrives laden with
presents. The centerpiece of Christmas Day is Lunch, the best meal
of the year! Our team of chefs will be playing their part as they
roast Local Free Range Bronze Turkeys and Prime Ribs of Hereford
Beef. Sheila, our own “Queen of Puddings”, will make the fabulous
Christmas Pudding. After lunch relax in a comfy chair by the fire
before we tempt you with Tea and Christmas cake. If you are still
peckish, this evening, join us for a Buffet Supper with handmade
pork pies, cold meats and many other dishes for you to enjoy. Entertainment
this evening will be in the form of our caricaturist who will be
delighted to present you with your own personal souvenir.
Boxing Day
Take a coach tour of the North Cotswolds this morning with our Blue
Badge Guide Maureen Sutherland. Maureen will share some of her Cotswold
secrets and there will be a stop for some Winter Punch and Spiced
Biscuits. You will be back at the hotel in time for a hot and cold
buffet lunch. During the afternoon the bustle of Stratford on Avon
or the charms of Broadway may tempt you away from the log fires.
Stretch your legs with the Traditional Treasure Hunt around the
village of Mickleton itself. For dinner tonight Chef will include
a buffet of our famous puddings together with some of the rules,
history and fun of the Pudding Club. To finish the evening there
will be a Christmas Casino and the chance to play Roulette at a
full size table or learn how to play Blackjack, it’s all for fun
money but with a prize for the winner.
Tuesday 27th
December
Today is a Bank Holiday so there is no hurry to leave us. The shops
will be open with the sales in full flow. Stay tonight and enjoy
