Christmas 2010 at Linthwaite
Join us to celebrate Christmas for a four night short break at Linthwaite House Hotel, overlooking Lake Windermere, in the heart of the English Lake District commencing on Christmas Eve. Enjoy Christmas Carols, a cruise on Lake Windermere, fun casino and traditional Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings.

Thursday 23rd December
Arrive at Linthwaite to a roaring log fire and homemade mulled wine.
Between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, join us for a classic afternoon tea.
From 6.30pm to 9.00pm, dine in our award-winning restaurant.

Christmas Eve, Friday 24th December
Our traditional English breakfast is served from 8.00am to 10.30am.
After breakfast you have a chance to explore the exquisite beauty of the Lake District at leisure, maybe do last minute shopping!
Between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, we will be serving muffins, scotch pancakes etc.
At 6.30pm join us lounge, conservatory or bar for a glass or two of Louis Roedere and canapés, followed by dinner at 7.00pm.
Relax after dinner with drinks, and Christmas Carols by Lakeland Singers at 9.00pm.
If you're heading out to a local midnight mass (details provided in your pack) please let us know so we can prepare some hot refreshments for your return!

Christmas Day, Saturday 25th December
Enjoy breakfast between 9.00am and 11.00am - don't forget to check if Santa has been!
We will be serving a traditional Christmas lunch between 1.30pm and 3.30pm, complete with seasonal trimmings and a glass of Champagne. There is then time to grab some fresh air and walk off your lunch, or just relax, chat and enjoy the rest of your Christmas Day. We have a selection of games, jigsaws, books and will be showing films in our Boardroom.
Between 7.30pm and 8.30pm we will serve a buffet with a selection of local meats and cheeses - in case you're feeling peckish!

Boxing Day, Sunday 26th December
Start the day with breakfast, served between 8.00am and 10.30am.
Then venture down to Bowness where you can take a complimentary cruise on Lake Windermere. Alternatively, feel free to take some time to explore the lakes further, then join us between 2.30pm and 4.30pm for a light afternoon tea with scones and dainty tea sandwiches.
At 6.30pm enjoy a Kir with your predinner canapés before dining at 7.30pm.
After dinner, a fun casino gambling evening (we provide the money! Not real I'm afraid but the prizes are!).

Monday 27th December
Between 8am and 11am, after a hearty breakfast, we say “au revoir” until next year.....

Christmas Tariff 2010 (minimum 4 night stay)
4 nights - 23rd Dec to 27th Dec inclusive.
Christmas rates are per person per night based on a four night stay including service and VAT. Itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions, etc..

Booking conditions and payment: All reservations must be confirmed in writing or by email with an initial deposit of £500.00. Full pre-payment is required by 31st October. In the event of cancellation we will refund your deposit if cancellation is made prior to 31st October. If cancellation is made after 31st October: We will refund the amount we are able to re-sell your stay for, (we may have to discount the stay in order to sell it) or if you prefer we can hold the amount towards a future stay. In the event we are unable to re-sell your stay then your payment will become non-refundable. We welcome cash, all major credit cards and cheques by prior arrangement. VAT: please note that vat is included at the current rate 17.5%. We reserve the right to increase prices by the relevant amount if vat is increased on or before your arrival date. We advise guests to take out insurance against cancellations.

New Year 2010/11

Outdoors, the crisp Lakeland winter's day; indoors, the roaring log fire and cosy armchairs. Where better to celebrate New year? Join us for a three night break and enjoy some Cumbrian hospitality in the heart of the English Lake District. Commencing on Thursday 30th December 2010. Arrive to a roaring log fire and mulled wine, enjoy a glass or two of Louis Roederer before a black tie gourmet dinner on New Years Eve, steamboat trip on Lake windermere and much more...

Thursday 30th December
Arrive at Linthwaite to a roaring log fire and homemade mulled wine.
Between 2.30pm and 4.30pm classic afternoon tea will be served.
From 6.30pm to 9.00pm you can dine in our award winning restaurant.

New Year’s Eve, Friday 31st December
Traditional English breakfast will be served between 8.00am and 10.30am.
You then have the chance to explore the Lake District at your own leisure, before arriving back to a simple afternoon tea between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
At 6.30pm you can join us in the lounge, conservatory or bar for a glass or two of Louis Roederer with your canapés, before a black tie gourmet dinner at 7.30pm.
From 10.00pm we will have live music in the Mirror Room, where you can dance until midnight and welcome 2011 with a glass of champagne!
Carry on the festivities until 1.00am, and if you're feeling peckish, bacon sandwiches should do the trick before bed time.

New Year’s Day, Saturday 1st January 2011
We will ease you gently into the New Year with a gourmet brunch between 9.00am and 1130am, but try not to break your New Year resolutions!
You can then enjoy a steamboat trip on Lake Windermere or alternatively, take some time to enjoy the beauty of the Lake District.
Full afternoon tea will be served from 2.30pm until 4.00pm, followed by dinner in the evening between 6.30pm and 9.00pm.

Sunday 2nd January
After a hearty breakfast between 8.00am and 11am, it's unfortunately time to say “au revoir” until next year.....
