A charming and historic hotel, Holdsworth House stands in stunning, secluded gardens, just three miles from Halifax in the heart of West Yorkshire. A grand Jacobean Manor built in 1633, the hotel today offers the highest standards of comfort and service. Open fires, cosy lounges, fine antiques and tapestries provide a relaxing, calm interior, whilst the 40 charming bedrooms in the award winning extension, have been beautifully furnished using sumptuous fabrics and several have pretty canopied beds. There are also split level suites and interconnecting family rooms and all rooms have many thoughtful extras including Yorkshire tea from Taylors of Harrogate, coffee making facilities, Wi-Fi internet connection and satellite TV, complemented by well-equipped bathrooms with large fluffy towels and the White Company bathroom products.

AA Awards 2011
We were thrilled to have our AA merit award increased to 86% in their recent review, particularly as the national average for 3 star hotels is 55% – 69%. It’s always an anxious time when ‘An Inspector Calls’ but here is a little of what he said “In terms of the AA Quality Standards Holdsworth House Hotel has maintained a Three Star rating with an increase in Merit Score to commendable 86%. Two rosettes is maintained for the thirteenth year, an impressive feat. The team continue to deliver a warm and friendly welcome to guest with their natural approach and appropriate use of guest name. Dinner remains a highlight. The use of quality local and national produce in well balanced and well executed dishes was most enjoyable. Breakfast quality also impressed. ”
