Family-friendly ~ Children's activities and club
Bovey
Castle, set within the wild and beautiful scenery of the Dartmoor
National Park in Devon, provides guests with a peaceful haven in
which to just relax or enjoy the many activities on offer. This
stylish resort hotel offers elegant and luxurious surroundings
enhanced by the highest levels of comfort and friendly service.
Sixty three individually designed suites, staterooms and bedrooms,
many with stunning country views, provide comfortable and elegant
accommodation featuring luxurious linens and the finest toiletries.
The
hotel offers three different dining experiences. The Mulberry Restaurant
offers a unique and comtemporary dining experience. Head Chef, Darron
Bunn has created a menu based on the founding principles of classical
cookery, but with modern twists. Every dish is prepared using only
the finest ingredients, sourced locally and changing with the season.
We are uniquely lucky to have one of the finest larders in Europe
from which to cook delicious fish from the Brixham day boats, dry
aged South Devon beef, fantastic artisan cheeses and wonderful game
from the moor.
Designed
in the Art Deco style, an era of elegance and fine living, the Edwardian
Dining Room is a superb atmosphere in which to relax and enjoy Bovey's
exceptional dining experience. Candlelight, hand-painted Chinoiserie
wall coverings, and immaculate service will surround you.
Bovey's
brand new eating experience: our informal Bistro offers a menu throughout
the day from coffee and pastries to dinner in a relaxing atmosphere.
Ideal for a snack after golf, lunch in the middle of your day's
activities, plus a special children's menu for hungry ones on the
go.
The
Grand Terrace, on sunny days, is the perfect place for outdoor dining,
while a wide range of cocktails are served in the Oak Room each
evening.
A
specially designed holistic spa, complete with a sauna, steam
room, jacuzzi, and 5 treatment rooms and gymnasium, is complemented
by the spectacularly sited swimming pool perched high above the
River Bovey which meanders through the valley below, with an extensive
menu of health and beauty treatments provided.
For
golfers, The Old Course at Bovey Castle is a challenging and
beautiful championship golf course, designed in 1926 by JF Abercromby,
one of the finest British golf course designers.
A
number of luxury lodges are available for guests, offering
plenty of space and privacy, ideal for families. Built of granite
under a slate roof, each lodge is spacious and airy, designed and
decorated to an exciting specification with oak beamed cathedral
ceilings and imposing granite fireplaces. Each has 3 bedrooms with
en suite bathrooms, some have a Minstrels' gallery and each has
a terrace and/or balcony with an outdoor dining and barbeque area.
The Castle is perfect for families offering a host of exciting
indoor and outdoor activities such as: treasure hunts, a woodland
adventure camp, a trampoline, a water slide, horse riding, volleyball,
